Services Provided

We provide comprehensive dental care for eligible active duty personnel only. Retirees and their family members are eligible for Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP). Visit www.benefeds.com/ or call BENEFEDS at 1-877-888-FEDS (3337) for more information.

Exams and Cleanings

Examinations are due annually and may or may not be associated with a dental cleaning the same day. The default cleaning interval is one per year unless individual risk factors indicate more frequent cleanings are required.

How to Make an Appointment

To make an appointment, call the Dental Front Desk at 781-225-6324.

Important Information

After Hours Call Information

For active duty service members experiencing a true dental emergency (swelling, bleeding, infection etc.) after hours, call 781-225-6324 or 781-879-5346 to speak with a dental provider.

Reserve / Guard Members

Reserve and Guard members must be on orders for 30 or greater days for routine care. ARNG members not on AGR orders should seek out dental needs through JFHQ MEDCOM before scheduling through Hanscom Dental Clinic.

Geographically Separated Unit

Some GSU members are enrolled in other military treatment facilities closer to their assigned duty location. Remote GSU members may fall under TRICARE Prime Remote. TRICARE Prime Remote beneficiaries may self-refer to an in-network local provider to have their dental needs met. For more information such as who qualifies, how to find a dentist, etc., please learn more.

PCS / Retirements / Separations

Members will not be signed out until they are within five days of their final out day. Please send a copy of your orders to: usaf.hanscom.66.abg.mbx.66-mds-dental-flight@health.mil. Members can request one copy of their records prior to separation/retirement. Copies will only be made for members onsite.

Dental Options Outside of Military Dental Clinics

For dental care outside of a military dental clinic, TRICARE offers dental coverage for service members, families and survivors. Additionally, retired service members, their families and certain survivors may qualify to purchase dental coverage through the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program.
