SMSgt Robert Rivers is the Senior Enlisted Leader, 66th Medical Squadron, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts. In this role, he advises the commander concerning welfare, morale, development and training of 167 personnel, optimizing medical readiness and high reliability of medical assets in the execution of $7.9 million annual budget. The service population includes 10,000 military and civilian personnel, 4,600 enrollees, 125,000 beneficiaries as well as occupational health services in support of 220 Geographically Separated Units across seven states to include New England and Upstate New York.
Senior Rivers was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, on June 2, 1985, and began active service in June 2007. He attended Health Service Management Course and graduated in October 2007. His list of assignments include two tours at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, Randolph Air Force Base and Edwards Air Force Base. He has held managerial roles in several medical units to include, Family Medicine, Medical Readiness, Flight and Occupational Medicine, Medical Information Systems, Tricare Operations, and Resource Management.
Prior to his current position, Sergeant Rivers was the Senior Enlisted Leader, 412th Healthcare Operations Squadron, Edwards Air Force Base.
